2024 Regulations Published

We have updated the regulations for 2024, and you can read them in their entirety here. We’ve made a few minor updates to the rules, but largely they remain the same as 2023. These are:

  1. Further clarification and update of the “Five Minute Rule”

    • The 2023 season saw what felt like a record number of time outs being called and exposed a couple of minor flaws in the application of the rule. We’ve added wording to clarify how Officials will operate in the event a time out is called.

  2. Car sharing

    • It is now permissible for two drivers to share one car, and we have outlined in the revised regulations how battles would function should you be drawn against one another. The highest qualifying driver will have the choice of whether to go first or second.

  3. Additional wording on dropped rounds

    • As there are only four rounds this season, it does not make sense to have a dropped round provision so we have updated the wording to apply the dropped round provision to only seasons consisting of six or more rounds.

Other changes are mostly cosmetic so no driver needs to worry that their car will no longer be compliant (unless you’ve been very busy over the winter!). In any case, please familiarise yourself with the regulations so you don’t get caught out!

As ever, if you have read the regulations and still have questions about how they apply to your car, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
