Formula G Championship under new ownership for 2025 season.

As many of you will already know Jon Birrell took the decision to step down at the end of the 2024 season and hand ownership and running of the championship over to myself, Dave Mittell.

As I have only just worked out how to work the website I thought I best start getting some news and updates on here!

As of October 2024 I took over the operation of the Formula G championship via my company DAMITT EVENTS ltd.

Jon Has left some big shoes to fill and is still sticking around to help out with operations whilst I get to grips with running a championship and building it up to the next level.

I intend to grow the championship and put Gymkhana on the map. It is a hugely under appreciated sport in the UK and even worldwide and I see it has huge potential.

I am hoping to forge new partnerships and reinforce existing ones, as well as introducing some changes and a raft of new drivers and fans to the sport.

My background is business ownership within the motor trade alongside having competed in rallying and drifting up to BDC level and pretty much anything car related in between. My obsession is cars and motorsport and I am looking forward to the new challenges ahead.

I intend to create a stage on which our drivers and partners can perform upon to create one of the most exciting and fastest growing motorsports in the uk.

So for now I must thank Jon for allowing me the opportunity to steer this ship, and for giving me such a great foundation to build upon. I must also thank the drivers and the marshals for the continued support as well as our partners and sponsors.
