LEARN TO GYMKHANA DAY

Learn the advanced precision driving techniques and skills required to become one of the best drivers in the world!
So have you ever wanted to be able to drive like our gymkhana drivers?
Maybe you’d like to come and compete in the Autogymkhana Battle Series?
Or even if you are an existing driver and you are struggling with navigation or want to learn some better driving techniques?
This is your chance to try gymkhana for yourself, Hone your skills and start your journey into motorsport!
Whether you are a complete novice or a seasoned race driver wanting to learn the art of gymkhana or just develop your driving skills then you are all welcome and your training will be tailored to your abilities.
What to Expect
A week or two before we will hold a webinar detailing rules and requirements and to make sure you know what to expect on the day. You will also get a chance to have any questions or concerns answered so you are confident and ready for your learn to gymkhana day!
The day will start with a briefing and some instruction on course navigation and a demonstration from our seasoned expert drivers on how it should be done.
You will then receive instruction in your own car on how to navigate, learn the course and the driving techniques required to get the fastest time.
After lunch you will then be allowed a free practice session on your own where you can complete as many timed runs of the layout as time will allow.
Your instructors will be on hand to give you tips and tricks on how to improve.
After a short break you will be entered into a shoot out, 2 runs of each side of the course to set your fastest time of the day!
The winner of the fastest time of the day will receive a prize and we will end the day with a debrief and an opportunity to ask any questions and have a chat with us about future events.
The cost of the day is £175 and we are strictly limited to 25 cars to allow a maximum amount of seat time.
You can add an additional driver for just £50 if sharing a car, you will both get to do the shoot out, and split your tuition and practice time between you so why not bring a friend?
What is Required
You require your own car. A minimum of an ECE approved helmet or higher.
If the car is a softop it requires a rollover protection (this can be a factory hoop or aftermarket device if unsure get in touch!)
Anything from a standard road car to a race, rally or drift car is acceptable, again if unsure get in touch!
Long sleeves and long trousers so arms and legs are covered when on track.
An RS clubman’s license which is available free from the msuk website ( help with this will be given on the webinar if required).
A club formula G membership which costs just £5 and allows you to enter any of our events.
Please note: entry to Santa Pod is ticketed, every person must have a valid ticket for the day. Your entry fee includes one weekend ticket; if you wish to bring a guest additional tickets can be purchased directly from Santa Pod at https://santapod.co.uk/.
