Pre-Season Update

It’s been quiet here lately, but that doesn’t mean nothing is happening! The 2023 season is nearly upon us - are you ready?!

Race Calendar

Our race calendar for 2023 is now fully locked in and we’re excited to let you all know that Rounds 3 and 4 will be held on 22-23 July at the incredible Donington Park!

Entries for all six rounds are now available to purchase on the website here.

Season Pass

For those looking to complete in every round this year, a season pass is now available here. By committing to a whole season, you’ll save £100!

Noise

As you will no doubt be aware, noise is an ever present issue in motorsport and we have seen, and will continue to see, an increasing number of restrictions put in place to keep the volume to a minimum.

As such, we will be trialling requiring the use of downturned exhaust tips at Rounds 3 and 4 at Donington Park, which has strict noise controls and restrictions in place.

This policy has already seen great success at multiple drift venues in the UK. While an inconvenience to drivers who don’t already have one, this will help to ensure that we can continue to enjoy motorsport for years to come.

Charity Partner

This year, we are honoured to be partnering with East Anglia Children’s Hospice (EACH) Fundraiser, Shanice Green. EACH supported Shanice and her family after the loss of Shanice’s little brother Leo in 2010.

EACH support families when they are at their absolute lowest, helping them to come to terms with their child’s/siblings illness, losing them and beyond.

All of the care, support, therapies, and other services EACH deliver are provided free of charge to families.

EACH receives statuary support but still has to raise 85% of the £15m it costs to run the charity every year.

Formula G will be supporting Shanice’s fundraising efforts in a variety of ways - but the main one will be through our End of Season Awards Dinner on 11 November 2023, with all proceeds going directly to EACH. You can place your deposit for the event (details tbc) now, here.
